We finally got to Australia.

Phnom Penh

Phnom Penh was an interesting and intense visit. The sites we visited surrounding the Khmer Rouge history in the city and out at the Killing Fields were confronting and memorable. The city itself was full of contrasts like amazing french coffee and a severe lack of any rules!

Ok - maybe there were some rules.

Battambang

The Long Boat trip to Battambang sailed its way through Lakes rivers and flooded wetlands. We were amazed to find towns floating everywhere carrying on with normal life. Floating schools, bars, markets, temples, shops and houses. (some complete with floating pig pens)
We also discovered an amazing performing arts program running at one of the local schools and loved watching a very modern circus show performed by the students. Check out the school here!
We spent the rest of our time in Battambang relaxing and wondering around the french colonial houses and shops.

Angkor Wat (Siam Reap)

Crazy trafic, motorbikes with 6 passengers, trucks loaded with people, jungle, monkeys, rice fields, bamboo houses, people everywhere (many cambodians filled the town for the water festival) and amazing temples all around. So many things that you don't know where to look. We spent 3 full days exploring Angkor Wat, two on bikes and one with a Tuk tuk. The best way we can describe it is through these pictures.
