Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur)

Malaysia - KL - city of FOOD!
After arriving and meeting Yik (kerrin's school and soccer mate from 10 year ago) we spent the next 3 days ........eating.
From amazing chinese soups to malay satays to Indian pancakes to Stingrays to Chicken feet, we ate it all. Kuala Lumpur is a great mixture of cultures and languages!
An amazing stopover with an amazing host.

Watermelon coctail
Lok lok, delicious street food!
At Batu caves, an indian temple complex in KL

Ho Chi Minh (Saigon)

Ho Chi Minh, Saigon, call it what you like....it's a bit crazy. With 9 million people in the city, 5 million motorbikes, 10,000 dead already this year from crashes, and 1 rule - ALWAYS USE THE HORN!

We found the many sights and museums of the city a little.....one sided, anybody would think the USA were fire breathing devils killing innocent viet cong working the fields and reading!

Despite the need for us to research everything again to find out about the other side we love the city.

Cris may have missed her calling as an old vietnamese natural healer (minus the thin white beard.)

Great food, cafes, bars, parks, temples, shops and never ending entertainment seeing what is possible to put on a motorcycle. ( Favourite in Vietnam thus far - 20 to 30 goldfish in individual plastic bags of water!)

Our conclusions about Vietnam: The Winners get to write the history.

Vung Tao

We decided to split our time in Ho Chi Minh with a short and relaxing visit to Vung Tao, one of the closest beach towns. We retreated to a nice swimming pool next to the beach and visited the towns bigest atraction, a "Rio like" Jesus at the top of a hill.
